Major League Baseball is going in for a realignment… because why should the National Basketball Association be the only league pissing off their fans right now?
With baseball’s over and having given hockey one game to impress me (it failed), it’s more apparent that there’s no NBA. How can this be, you may ask. Well, that’s just one of many questions I’ll make up answers to!
Five years after his retirement from the NFL, following a failed attempt at a broadcasting career and a scandalous divorce last
year, Tiki Barber is ready to be a comeback story… but it may be a short story for the highly criticized almost-36-year-old.
Last night the NFL season kicked off as the defending Superbowl Champion New Orleans Saints played the Minnesota Favres in a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship game, yielding the same result: a Saints victory.
Before the game, however, players on both teams made a statement by holding up one finger as a solidarity gesture. The NFL money fight is front & center instead of behind closed doors, where it needs to be. Fans who supply the league with dollars want to see football, not financial frustration.
Unfortunately, the fans don’t get a chance to collectively give the middle finger to the entire NFL: players and owners alike.
Antoine Walker blew the $110 million dollars he earned in 13 years of NBA service. It seems impossible, but there are levels of
stupidity that defy logic.
